Prebiotin and Prebiotics
The 2 prebiotics with the best medical research are oligofructose and inulin. These 2 prebiotics, to varying degrees, are present in some of the foods we eat. It is important to understand the difference between these 2 prebiotics.
- Oligofructose is fermented rapidly by the good bacteria in the right side of the colon, generating a thriving mix of good bacteria there which confer many health benefits.
- Inulin, on the other hand, is more slowly fermented by bacteria throughout the colon, but in particular, in the left side of the colon. Here, there are health benefits, that are different from what happens in the right side of the colon.
Prebiotin is a generous mixture of both oligofructose and inulin which thereby provides benefit throughout the colon, not just on the right side or the left side. This is why we call our product a full spectrum prebiotic. It provides benefits throughout the colon, the full spectrum of the colon, if you will.
So, oligofructose or inulin by themselves are just half the value of Prebiotin. To get the full value 2 prebiotics, you need Prebiotin, the full spectrum prebiotic.
