      Jula thank you for your question! We would always recommend consulting w/ your Pediatrician concerning dietary adjustments do to any condition. For daily maintenance, many introduce small amounts to infant formula and or baby food. Amounts used in general are 1/8 to 1/4 of a gram. Gradually increase as the child gets older. Daily amounts should not exceed 1 gram unless recommended by a physician. Thank you!

    What quantity for a 3 year old (size of a 5 year old)

      Generally you could just simply adjust for the child’s weight relative to a normal adult, where 4 grams daily is a recommended daily dosage. However, we know that people who don’t get enough fiber in their diet, or those interested in weight management benefits, can be taking 8 to 12 grams or more, so this is a very rough generality. Our best advice is to just start out slow, as little as 1/2 gram, and monitor the child’s results. Quickly getting up to a couple of grams a day would not be uncommon or detrimental.     I have done a lot of research and have read many different things on this subject! How do you, personally feel about me giving my 15 month old a prebiotic supplement?     Babies are not suppose to have allergies , eczema or gas. To get probiotics whether in food or supplement might be one of the best things you can give your baby.
