Director of Product and Business Development
During the summer of 2012, while running his natural food store, Cooper’s Nutrition, in Carefree, Arizona, Greg met Frank and Ellen Jackson. During one of their shopping visits, Frank mentioned his product, Prebiotin, a prebiotic fiber made from chicory root. As a gastroenterologist, Frank was providing it to his former patients, and selling from his website, but knew that Greg had 30 years of experience in the “natural channel” and had developed products himself.
Greg jumped at the opportunity to work with Dr. Jackson and Prebiotin, believing that it was a chance of a lifetime. He recognized that Frank was at the forefront of a shift in the way science is treating chronic disease, and wanted to be a part of that.
According to Greg, prebiotic fibers will soon become a staple in digestive health. Clinical research and popular interest in the microbiome have been propelled by such programs as the WHI (White House Initiative) and Prebiotin is leading the way for prebiotic fibers.
This is not just Greg’s opinion. The global prebiotics market is projected to reach USD 7.11 billion by 2024, as published by Grand View Research, Inc. As Greg states, growing emphasis on improving overall health with natural foods and supplements rather than drugs is expected to fuel product demand over the next eight years.
Greg studied business at the University of San Diego while on a football scholarship. He also served as the President of Arizona Health Foods and as an Executive VP of Nutraceutical Corporation. Greg developed and created the brand PlantFusion, and was owner and operator of Cooper’s Nutrition, in total bringing 30 years of experience in the “natural channel” to his position with Prebiotin.
Beyond his career, Greg admits that the most joy in his life comes from spending quality time with family and friends. He also enjoys a good book, working out, playing the guitar and, of course, football.
